Double Tree Akron

We are married on September 26, 2009 at the Four Points in Akron. When we booked the location, we asked if there was going to be any construction, and were told there was not. Then two months prior to our wedding, we found out that they were changing the hotel format and the entry to the hotel would be under construction during our wedding. I was DEVASTATED, as it was exactly what I did not want to have, but Kathy Dixon and the staff at Four Points WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure I was happy. I was frustrated by the wood paneling outside of the building, and they brought in a tent company to put up fabric panels to make it look more elegant. Of course it rained on our wedding day, and normally people could pull up under the awning, but it was closed for construction, so the hotel hired valet parking, at their cost, so all the guests had a dry walk to the reception. The food was fantastic, and they took such a good care of everyone. Given the challenges they faced, it could have been a disaster, but they really really came through to make it a special day for my husband and me, our family and friends.

I am so happy with everyone at Four Points Sheraton! Coordinator Cathy Dixon was wonderful to work with and made everything so easy on us. The food was absolutely delicious, the ballroom was prettier than I imagined, and even the smallest of details was taken care of! They gave our out of town guests a great rate and had a quiet suite set aside for us complete with chocolate covered strawberries

Cathy Dixon was wonderful to work with. I could not have done it without her. She is professiona, friendly and cares so much about what she does. She was so helpful and I appreciate all she did for us.

Four Points did our reception, gave our out of town guests a place to stay, and provided catering. Everything was PERFECT!! Cathy was attentive and answered all my questions in a timely fashion along the way, she was there the night of the reception and kept things moving smoothly. We got many compliments from guests who stayed at the hotel about the courteous and helpful staff, and the guests at the reception raved about the tasty food and efficient, polite, and great staff. The facility is beautiful and the staff is very helpful.
