I had gone to many different bridal stores with a specific look in mind for my wedding dress. After trying on multiple dresses at many different stores, I could not find what I was looking for. I went to Evaline's and started working with Joy. I had tried on 2 dresses that I had picked out, but nothing had caught my interest. Joy offered to pick one after I told her what I was looking for and low and behold the one she picked was THE dress. I cant thank Joy and the staff enough for their help in finding me my dream dress. I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day!!

I found my wedding gown at Evaline's, and I knew it was the one! I had looked a several places that had pressured me into buying their gowns, but when I walked into Evaline's, I felt no pressure at all. I actually went in after work one day just curious to see what I could find because I just started my wedding gown search, and to my surprise, I found my gown! Joy was absolutely wonderful, as well as Jade. They made me feel so special. It was a very positive experience. I also had my bridesmaids dresses ordered from them as well, which I was happy with so we would all get our dresses from the same store, and it made it much easier for my girls to go and get their measurements taken. I feel like the girls are family, and they are so wonderful. Although it can be stressful at times planning a wedding, the girls always make me feel comfortable and never like I'm a bother to them or a crazy bride!! :) :) Love them! Can't wait til my dress comes in May!

They were very flexible with my schedule as I lived out of town and had limited times that I could come to the store. My dress was totally remodeled, straight neckline to sweetheart, and turned out just how I imagined it.
My only problems with this store were that my bustle broke on the first dance so I had to hold my dress up all night :( and I was sold a broken tiara which they "glued" back together instead of exchanging it.

Evalines's Bridal was fantastic! The staff was very helpful and courteous. They listened to what I wanted and even offered their own thoughts which was very helpful.
The alterations were perfect and I looked and felt so beautiful on my wedding day. I would highly recommend Evaline's to any bride.

My entire bridal party went to Evaline's Bridal for our wedding. I was searching for a specific dress for my bridesmaids and Evaline's had it there. Lori and her staff helped me through the entire process from ordering to alterations. I called almost every week with questions because I was one of those brides who worried about everyhing....and they were always so nice and took care of me! They really cared about our wedding day and I was extremely happy with the quality of service and caring staff. No other shops in the area had the selection of gowns like Evaline's Bridal and I definitely reccomend it to all future brides!

If you're looking for unique dresses, this is a good place to go. I did have a couple of communication problems with the girls at first but when Lori realized I wasn't happy with my experience at her store, she contacted me and did everything she could to fix it. They really do a good job. I would just advise any bride to voice issues they have immediately and to stay on top of their order. Both my dress and my moms turned out beautiful and were altered to fit us perfectly. Also, they dyed my shoes red to match my bridesmaids dress and those turned out AWESOME. They couldn't have looked better.

There's a reason that the Better Business Bureau gives this place an F. The owner, Lori, and her staff are disorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest. When you notice one of their multiple mistakes, they won't acknowledge it, and if you persist, they'll be entirely unapologetic, because, you see, it's never their fault. When something really bad happens, she'll either lie or tell you that nothing like this has happened to her in 25 years in the industry--but after two or three once-in-a-quarter-century events happen to you, that one wears pretty thin.
The first problem was the deposit. When I bought my dress at the end of December, Lori said that while they needed a deposit to order it, I could put down whatever amount I'd like. The contract stipulated 20%, and I put down 25%--so you can imagine my surprise when I called the store to submit another payment, and she said the dress needed to be ordered in the next few days and they couldn't do so without 50% down. Great, that put delivery at one month before my wedding.
Though I said from the beginning that I didn't want a veil, Lori and her salespeople were extremely rude and pressured me into buying a $400 veil, dyed to match, telling me "Oh, you're not a bride without a veil!" etc. Though I ordered it with the dress, I later called to cancel it. The salesgirl told me she'd stop the order, and leave a note in the system with the style number and color in case I later decided that I wanted it. In March I called to make my final payment, and the veil was still on there--no note, and now too late to cancel. Remember the part about it being dyed to match? I saw it for the first time the Monday before my wedding--Lori put it in my hair, spread it across my ivory dress, and told me it looked just great and I should wear it. It was bleach-bottle white.
Once the ship date came and went, I flew across the country for my first fitting. I called the week prior to leaving to ensure that the gown was still on schedule, and was told that it had already arrived in the store; however, when I arrived on July 6th for my fitting, the dress they had was certainly not mine. If she actually ordered the right one (not convinced), had someone bothered to open the box they'd have noticed the big white tag on the dress that quite clearly displayed the wrong style number and color. While her salesgirls scurried around whispering to each other, Lori stayed upstairs in her office for a good fifteen minutes. You'd expect that when someone has just presented a bride from 2000 miles away, a month from her wedding, with the wrong dress, that she'd apologize--and you'd be wrong.
The 'correct' dress, rushed from the factory, didn't arrive until after I'd left town, meaning that I didn't even see it until the week of my wedding, and surprise! It was wrong again. The gown I actually ordered had plain lace--no beads, no sequins; the one in her store, not so much. When I told Lori that the gown was once again wrong, she was incredibly condescending, insisting that the company (the same one she blamed for sending the wrong dress three weeks earlier) didn't make these kinds of mistakes. It was only after I sent pictures of me in the sample dress that she even acknowledged the problem, and she continued to be resistant to my demand that either all of the beading and sequins be removed at no cost to me, or I'd take the dress home and remove them myself.
I spent all day August 4th either being put on hold by the 'customer service' reps at Jim Hjelm, or getting an earful of excuses from Lori. By the afternoon I'd decided to take the gown to another (truly wonderful) bridal shop for alterations. When I picked it up, Lori said that the hem and the side seams were done; she NEVER told me that the beading had been removed, and with good reason-- whoever removed it completely destroyed the lace, leaving holes big enough to put a finger through. The seamstress also cleverly covered up one of the holes by lowering and stitching the ribbon belt over it. In the end, I had to have the designer overnight new lace, because none of the existing lace could be salvaged; the belt, which gapped a half-inch around the zipper, was so badly stitched that it had to be replaced with new ribbon as well.
The only thing that saved me was taking the dress from her store--and in the end, it still wasn't perfect, because there was just no time after fixing all the damage. And this is just my dress; my junior bridesmaid ended up with a size 10 sample dress when Lori shipped her size 4 uninsured, and it got lost in the mail. It's fun to pay full price for a new dress and end up with a manufacturer's sample tried on by lord knows how many people, with 'IMP' embroidered on the back.
So, if you've read this far, please do yourself, your bridal party, and your loved ones a favor and avoid this place. If you've already bought a dress here, take it somewhere else for alterations. Remember that you chose your dress because it made you feel beautiful, in love, and like a bride--you deserve to always feel that way about it, and there are plenty of other bridal shops in the area that believe that too.

I love working with the girls at Evaline's Bridal. Tiffany, Angie, Claudia, Ruthann, Chelsea, and Lori have all been a huge help to me, my mother, my bridesmaids, and everyone else involved in my wedding. I have been in three weddings, and each of the bridal parties have purchased their wedding dresses and bridemaids dresses at Evaline's. I have read some of the reviews on this site, and I have never had any of the problems as these people. The girls there told me that I had to make monthly payments and I always recieved letters if I didn't make a payment by the first of the month. For one of the weddings I was in, I went out of town for two weeks prior to the wedding. When I got back into town there was one week left until the wedding. All of my alterations were done very quickly and looked perfect. They girls were very helpful and worked around my schedule. I was just married and my dress as well as my bridesmaids dresses all looked perfect. I also had my wedding planned by the consultant that they recomended and she was fantastic. She took care of all of my problems and I was stress free on my wedding day. I am so pleased with all of the work that they have done for me. I would recomend Evaline's to everyone because all of the girls are so sweet and honest that when you go there it feels like you are around close friends. THANKS LADIES! I'll see you soon!!

These women is this store lied and gossiped to everyone in both bridal parties. Ordered the wrong dresses for the brides maides on purpose. Charged my wife for alterations on her dress they never started. Ordered a different pair of shoes than what she wanted without asked her to change, and then charged her for dieing the shoes (she didnt wear that pair). My wife did modeling or them before our wedding to support them; and this is how they repay us. This place is awefull, they refuse to py back the money they stole from mywife and her mother.

I had an awesome experience at Evaline's Bridal! I purchased my dress, my bridesmaids dresses, the tuxes, and the mother's dresses there. I was treated with respect and kindness, and no one that I saw in the store ever appeared to have a problem with the sales associates. The girls there were fantastic to work with, and they even helped me pick out the jewelery that I gave my Bridesmaids as their present. I also rented chair covers and sashes from there, and they looked perfect! There wasn't a winkle or piece of dirt on them. I was so impressed with the seervice that I received that I will surely recomend Evaline's to anyone I know that is getting married.

I have never experienced worse customer service. I ordered my gown in July 2006 (my wedding was in June 2007) and was told it would arrive in 4-6 months. When I hadn't heard from them in 7 months I called only to find out the dress was never ordered. They told me it would still be in with plenty of time, and for me not to worry (RIGHT?!). Time went on and a month before the wedding, still no dress.. I frantically called the owner and found out the dress was ordered but not complete, and that I was being irrational for being upset. The dress finally came in 2 weeks before the wedding, and I went in 2 times to have alterations completed before actually meeting with somebody. The veil ordered was the wrong color, and they sent it back, (so they said) only to recieve the same veil again.. IN THE WRONG COLOR. I then had to buy a floor model to have one that would match my dress on my wedding day, but was not allowed to return the one in the wrong color. I had to basically just take a 250 dollar loss on it. I was told to bring bridesmaids in on the thursday before the wedding (on sat) to have them learn how to bussel the dress, only when we went in THE DRESS WAS STILL IN PINS!!! nothing had been done on it. Needless to say I threw a fit, and they finished the dress by the next day at 3:00... THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING, and i was still charged full price for the alterations. The dress ended up being beautiful, but I could have got it from a number of other vendors with out this added stress.. The worst part of it all was how unsympathetic they were through the whole situation. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy.. HORRIBLE!!!

I have been in many weddings and dealt with small dress shops and large chain shops alike. This was hands down the WORST service I have ever received. They were wonderful on day one (when we were looking for bridesmaids dresses). That was where the service ended. They did not return phone calls in a timely manner. They ordered the wrong dress for the junior bridesmaid (tea length instead of floor length) and when confronted about this, the owner said there was nothing documented in her system and implied we never requested it. WRONG. Her employee didn't document the request. We specifically stated it needed to be longer to match the other dresses. We've also found out that they could have ordered it at floor length at no additional charge! They applied only $25 of a $130 payment made to one bridesmaids order and delayed shipment of the dresses because of it. When we inquired about the missing money they insisted they had to verify it with their accountant (even though we brought in bank statements proving the charge had been made). At this point they're claiming VISA didn't give them all $130, highly unlikely. The money has still not been refunded at this point by them. The owner apologized but absolved all responsibility and basically told us to get it back from the bank. Fabulous.
A phone call to the dress manufacturer confirmed our suspicions that Evaline's did NOT pay them which is why they delayed shipment of our dresses. Wonderful. I'm sure this is related to them not properly crediting the account when the dress was paid off in full MONTHS ago.
I wish we would have read online reviews prior to going there. We have found reviews stating that one wedding party didn't receive dresses at all because this store gave bad checks to the dress company!
Long story short, if you want customer service DON'T GO THERE, if you want dresses to arrive on time and correctly DON'T GO THERE, if you want your phone calls returned DON'T GO THERE, if you would like to be treated courteously DON'T GO THERE, if you want to deal with a business owner who has professional ethics DON'T GO THERE. I don't know how she's still in business. But if our experience is a common one, she won't be for long.
