Phyllis Lester Designs

I'm so happy that we chose Phyllis Lester Designs for our wedding cake. I interviewed and tasted cakes from 3 vendors in the Cleveland area and ended up deciding between Phyllis and White Flour. Both vendors had the best tasting cakes in my opinion, but I went with Phyllis for the personalized service (small business owner vs. bigger company) and for the price point. She was able to create a cake to our exact specification, including decorating the cake with a beautiful cascade of roses (based on a picture I provided). Everyone commented on not only how how amazing the cake looked but also how delicious it tasted. Her cakes really are beautiful and delicious. Also, she is extremely generous in all aspects of her service -- her prices are more than reasonable, the price includes a whole anniversary cake, and she provides more than the industry standard mini-slice for her tastings. I would recommend Phyllis without hesitation. She is kind, generous and extremely talented. Please note that Phyllis mainly communicates via telephone as opposed to email. Thank you, Phyllis!

The best cake I've ever seen and tasted!!! Phyllis is extremely professional, creative, talented and especially very personable and kind!!

Phyllis did an amazing job. I wanted a rich purple cake but with buttercream frosting and she delivered. She was nervous at first that the color wouldn't be too my liking and I had sent her some cake ideas. I wanted a unique look and we added some sparkle to it. I had my own cake topper made which Phyllis added to the cake. Everyone was so impressed and it tasted so good. She even made us a small cake to freeze for our 1 year anniversary. And to our surprise my husband loves Red Velvet so my mom had a cake made for him which was brought out during the reception.

Phyllis made a beautiful cake for our wedding, and the cake was really a highlight for us and our guests. There is no question that her cakes taste absolutely delicious and fresh and that she is a very talented decorator. Phyllis is also a very dear person, and we enjoyed getting to know her. One thing to note, though, is that Phyllis seems to mainly interact with her clients over the phone or in person, rather than via e-mail or by using her website to communicate pertinent information. As such, we didn't always feel that all of our options and the details of our cake were communicated to us as well as they could have been. Overall, we certainly trusted Phyllis and knew that she would create a wonderful cake, but communication is the one area we would have slightly improved.

Phyllis made fabulous cakes (wedding and groom's cake) that left our guests amazed. The wedding cake was beautiful and both cakes tasted wonderful. My husband is still talking about his Script O groom's cake. Go Bucks!

The cake was absolutely gorgeous, unique and delicious. Phyllis had me sample 5 different versions to guide me in my decision making. It was much higher than I expected but I didn't sample others because I was told she was the best and she didn't disappoint,

Phyllis makes not only beautiful cakes based on your custom design but they are the best tasting cakes I've ever had in my life!! Her prices are competitive but truly reflect the quality of the cake. She even made us a separate anniversary cake identical to our wedding cake. I will definitely use her again for future affairs.

Our wedding cake was by far the best tasting and most beautiful I have ever tasted or seen. It's hard to find both, but Phyllis is capable of doing just that. She's a pleasure to work with!

We had a great experience with Phyllis Lester. Her work is amazing, she is a true artist.Our cake was beautiful and tasty.She is very professional, only took us 2 weeks to schedule an appointment with her.she also did our party favor, that were beatiful and delicious.Her cakes are a little expensive but it is totall worth it.
