The Powder Room

Myrna did my make-up for my wedding day, as well as my mom and sister. I felt like a movie star with my make-up and it lasted from morning through the night. Myrna was very professional and made me feel very special when preparing my make-up. She will be the only person I call when I need to look my best!

I love this Vendor!! She came to me on site, which is very important for a busy bride the day of her wedding! Kelly did my makeup PERFECT, I was myself nothing crazy or over done just myself only ENHANCED! Everyone commented on how beautiful I looked and not just to me (you know, how families say "oh you look so beautiful) No, they commented to each other, on how truly perfect my makeup was!

The Powder Room did an awesome job. They came to the hotel on time and made everyone look beautiful. I would hghly recommend them.

The Powder Room was a great find. This was the perfect place to have all of the attendance's, bride and the mother of the bride's makeup done the day of the wedding. This charming boutique in Eaton Collection, actually closed its doors for us and provided an atmosphere that helped to set the tone for the day to come. Kelly the owner, not only provided top quality makeup applications but it was important for us to make this very special for my daughter and the girls she selected to share her day. Everything was perfect....the timing of the application to the bride, eight attendances and the mother of the bride. Kelly also provided a beautiful selection of beverages, chocolates, cheeses, fruit and crackers. This arrangement of food was as beautiful as is every detail in the boutique. Kelly, herself is about as cute as you can get. She has this amazing personality and she generates such energy. We had a blast!!!! The makeup was transforming.....each staff member was as talented as the next. The quality of the product was also improtant. It was a very hot day with heavy humidity, but the makeup got us all through the night. Great place to start fine tuning the look you want for the weddidng day also. Very pleased with with decision. Kelly even sent a gift to the hotel where my daughter and her new husband were staying. That's customer service!!!!!

Defintely not cheap! But they did a fantastuc job- a bunch of us came- I have only sisters and we had such a fun day. Everyone was so nice and friendly- very important for a nervous bride!

I was disappointed in the quality of the my experience with the Powder Room. We contracted with Kelly and her staff to do the MU for my 5 bridesmaides, myself and MOB onsite at our hotel- and paid a hefty price for this service. The girls all looked great but I was an oily mess all day and had to rely on blotting papers throughout the day. The biggest issue was the level of unprofessionalism-- we had a contract for the number of people who were having their makeup done and an agreed upon schedule. The day before the wedding, Kelly called me to try and change the terms of the agreement that was signed months prior saying she needed to leave earlier than originally agreed upon-- which did not work for our timeline. Then, not only did Kelly show up late that day, but throughout the course of the afternoon she kept complaining that she needed to get back to her store and that her husband was going to kill her because he was watching the store-- even when doing my makeup! Your MUA is supposed to calm you down not stress you out! At one point it was unclear whether I was going to get my lashes done and she acted like it was my problem and I had to beg the other MUA to stay and do my lashes. My expectation is when a professional commits to providing almost $1000 worth of makeup services for 3 hours of work, you set up and are on time and work out your other obligations (i.e. keeping your store open) well in advance of the day of the wedding. Perhaps we would have had a different experience if we had come to the store for services.
