Here is a more specific breakdown of the services that Thunderhill provided:Catering (Food): The service for the catering was great! A+++. However the quality of the food I would say was just okay (B). The chicken was suppose to be garlic herb and we received plain grilled chicken. Overall it was fine and for the most part people found everything good. I was disappointed by the fact that they did not put the rolls on the table, but included them on the buffet. Bar Services (Alcohol + other Drinks): I was not aware that stemware was not included in our "all inclusive" package. So they did not give our guests any glasses. Instead they received bottles of pop. I REALLY hated this! The bartender service was good. I thought there beer/wine package that we choose was a terrible deal. So for the drinking portion of the grade I would give them a C. Ceremony Location & Chair Rental: The ceremony location required basically NO decorating. So they did not have much to do here. They did give us a golf cart to get from the club house to the ceremony location , which was sooo nice! We did rent chairs from Thunderhill for the Ceremony. However they were brown and they were suppose to be white. I give them a B for this part.Reception Location/Management/Coordination: I would give them a C+. It took several days for him to get back to me when I had questions and some questions were never answered (i.e. size/dimensions of the reception location). I asked for a bill a week before the wedding, and did not even SEE a bill until the end of the night of our wedding day. We also got this "all inclusive package" (mentioned above), and he still continue to charge us for the hall rental, and wanted to charge us for the champagne toasts ($3/person) and (I guess) stemware.

We had a wonderful time at Thunder Hill overall! There were a couple of issues, but they didn't ruin the day for us and mostly became known after-the-fact. In general, we weren't happy about the fact that no one had followed through with disposing of weathered decorations (left by a prior wedding party) covering the primary location where we were to take the bulk of our wedding photos. Additionally, it was upsetting to find out that after we'd paid for 25% more guests than had attended, ALL of the left over food dissapeared (and we never found out what happened to it). Lastly, our left over cake was "packaged" frosting-side down in an unlined paper bakery box that we'd brought one of our favors in (which the remainder of also dissapeared). However, these are all things (aside from the photo location) that DID NOT affect our reception while it was going on and none of the guests knew about them. Additionally, Thunder Hill did provide our guests (as well as their families who were in another room on the premises) with a lovely fireworks display at no cost to us! As our wedding was on July 4th, this show really impressed our guests who would have otherwise missed fireworks in lieu of our wedding reception. Lastly, the also allowed us to downgrade our "bar package" after a housing emergency left us at odds with our budget. Thunder Hill is a nice fit for those on a tight budget, anyone looking for a GORGEOUS backdrop, and wanting to avoid the "gourmet" or stuffy atmosphere of many banquet halls.
